We would like to know the best way to travel from Conca Dei Marini on the Amalfi coast to Rome. I understand that we could go via ferry from Amalfi to Salerno and then take a high speed train from Salerno to Rome. I welcome suggestions and comments.
That is the best way
You’ll need to get to Amalfi -bus or taxi
Then ferry to Salerno
The station is about a 10 min walk from ferry port
Then fast train to Rome
Or you could hire a driver to take you all the way to Salerno
We used this company for transfers in the area

Is the train station in Salerno really that far from the ferry port? My impression from google maps is that it is only about 5 minutes or so.
Month of the year? I ask because of summer crowding and possible ferry cancellations for rough water out of summer. There are a lot fewer ferries out of season. Note that it is not possible to wake up in Conca and fly home from Rome the same day. The high speed train is cheaper with advance-purchase discounts, but then you cannot change WHICH train you take, or get a refund if you miss the one you bought.
If you were not in a hurry, you might choose to visit Sorrento or Pompeii, and take a slower route to Naples, for the same train.
Sorry
That was a typo
It’s barely 10 min walk
Thank you so much for your replies. Very helpful. We will be traveling first week of September. Prior to going to Rome, we also want to spend the day in Capri. Best way to get to Capri from Conca Dei Marini? We think we might like to take a small boat tour, etc. recommendations for best restaurant in Capri. We would also like to book a cooking class.
Thank you in advance for all your suggestions.
