Hello,
After getting off a ship in Citiavecchia at about 8am in late October we need to get to Venice. What is the most convenient and fastest way to do this by train?

The best way to go about doing this by train would be to take a train from Civitavecchia to Rome Termini station and then catch a fast train straight up to Venice Santa Lucia (if you're staying on the island). The journey should take roughly 5 1/2 hours.

Here is the Italian train website plug in your start & end cities and the date - and search. It is appx a 5:20 trip and there are many trains a day.

Check the www.trenitalia.com website.
Make sure you spell the station names right. It's Civitavecchia (and Venice is Venezia Santa Lucia).
