I am trying to book train reservations from Monterosso to Varenna (staying in Bellagio). I cannot find a train schedule. Please advise the best way to make my travel plans. Thanks, Denise

When is this trip taking place? You don't necessarily have to book all reservations in advance, as some of the trains you'll be taking are Regionale. There are no discounts for advance purchase tickets with those.
The easiest solution would be to book the direct Intercity train from Monterosso to Milano Centrale. There's a departure at 10:55, arriving 13:50 (time 2H:55M). You can get discounted tickets for the Intercity train, which you can buy either from Trenitalia or from www.trainline.eu (at the same price).
The train from Milano Centrale to Varenna will be a Regionale (operated by TreNord). I'd suggest just arriving at the station in Monterosso a few minutes early, and buying your ticket for that either from the staffed ticket office or from a Kiosk. However, prior to boarding that train in Milan, you must validate the ticket prior to boarding the train in order to avoid hefty fines!

Regionali schedules are not out yet. The schedule changes on June 10, and for various reasons, they don't get finalized until very near that date. If you see an IC train to Milan on your day, buy that now. The connecting train to Varenna is a Regionale, and goes about every hour. You can buy that one later when you are in Italy at any station. Its only about 7 EUR.
Yes, I see the direct IC trains from Monterosso to Milano Centrale are on the schedule for July and there are SuperEconomy tickets available for 9.90 EUR.
