Hello. Three adults need to get from Matera to Salerno on May 10, 2026. On Trentalia it looks like there is one train that day leaving at 10:20 am arriving 13:34. It says "Freccialink not sellable with this connection." Does this mean this is a local or regional train and cannot be bought at this time?
The only other option I see on Rome to Rio is a bus in the night? We don't want that.
Anyone have any ideas before I reach out to a private driver.
Thanks so much. Regina
I don't think the Miccolis bus is a night bus. There is one at 8:35am, one at 5:15pm and one 7:10pm (this last run is available on Sundays only but May 10 is a Sunday). It's direct and faster than the train.

Matera has only a relatively slow railway link to Bari on a narrow gauge railway not linked to the national railway system.
Your best bet to Salerno is a bus, for example:
Freccialink refers to a combo ticket, a Trenitalia bus from Matera to Salerno sold with a train ticket from Salerno to any station served by Freccia trains.
If it was a Regional train it would called Regionale #1234 and would be on sale up to June 14
Thank you all so much. Three tickets are booked! Not sure why I was having such trouble. Thanks again. Regina
