train transfers in Verona Porta Nuova

Does anyone have experience making connections at this train station?
We have 15 minutes but i cant find any maps of the station to see how big it is or how far apart the platforms might be.
Is there anyway to check what platform a train arrives at and where the connecting train departs from?

thanks much

Italy just doesn't do as thorough a job as the Germans or the Swiss. Using google satellite view, I'd say there are 9 binarii, with a station side binario and four island platforms with 2 binarii each. Now between the station side and the 1st and 2nd islands there are 3 tracks between them with the center track for through trains. So I'd estimate 75 feet between the stairways of the station and the first 2 islands and 60 feet between the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th islands.
If trains are on time and you have positioned yourself by the door as the train pulls into the station, I'd say it would be no problem.

Maybe 6 or 8 platforms from memory with a subway connection.
I made connection Mantova - Verona - Milan a few years back.
Unless your incoming train is more than 5 minutes late you should be fine.
If it's 10 minutes late, then get ready to move quickly.

It would help to have some idea on where you're coming from and going to, as the details may determine which tracks you'll arrive on.

I've connected through there a number of times. As I recall, there's one section of tracks that's offset from the main tracks. That section is accessed through the tunnels (can't remember the details).

15 minutes is ample time at that station. I don't know how to check which platform ahead of the schedule being posted, but I would check it when you arrive anyway, just to be sure. Just have your suitcase at the door when you stop and be ready to pull the handle/push the button to open the train door.

I have transferred there in as little as seven minutes. As soon as you get off the train, find the electronic board with departures listed, tracks can change up to the last minute.

Changing trains is quite simple, but the way the station is laid to access any of its tracks you have to go down stairs to the underground passage (that actually is on the same level of the access lobby) and up to the new track. Be sure you can lift your luggage and go down and up stairs.
