I am in Venice on April 6, 2013 and would like to go to Innsbruk Austria in the morning and return by night by train. I would like to do sight seeing in Austria important places only like wattens innsbruk, - crystal museum of swarovski, the golden roof the triumphpforte statue of king leopold v St annes column and the Heiblinghaus. I would like to know which train and timings I would have to take from Venice to Innsbruk and from Innsbruk to Venice .What about sight seeing how do i go about this when I reach Innsbruk?

cheryl, Travel from Venice to Innsbruck for a "day trip" is not really feasible due to the travel times involved. It will take about six hours in each direction for that trip, with at least one change of trains at Verona Porta Nuova. Spending 12 hours on a train just to see a few sights in another city is not really practical. Good luck and happy travels!
