My family and I are flying into Milan and heading straight to Venice. Our flight is due to arrive at 7:05am and I’m wondering which time train I should book. I’m traveling with my mom and she may check a bag. I would like to book the 11:35am train but am wondering if I should book the 12:35pm. Thoughts?

Buy your ticket when you arrive at the Malpensa airport train station. Then you know you can make it. That is what I have done.

As Sam says, buy the ticket on the spot at the Malpensa station. Buying in advance can give you a chance to get a discount, but then if you miss the train you book you can’t get it refunded. At most you might save 25€, so probably not worth the risk.

Which Milan airport are you flying into?
The Malpensa Express from the airport to the central Milan train station takes about 50 minutes.
The Linate airport shuttle (is in town), so takes about 15-20 minutes.
If your flight is late, all bets are off, so don't purchase in advance.
