How many months out can you book train tickets on Trenitalia?
i was on their website yesterday trying to book tickets for May 1st from Venezia St. Lucia to Verona and site
indicated I could not book.
In past years I have booked (i thought) at least 4-5 months out.
Feedback would be appreciated.

With state run Trenitalia it varies 3 to 6 months; currently you can only buy up to mid March.
If you are looking to buy Venezia St. Lucia to Verona now for May 1 try Trenitalia's competition Italotren as they have that route for sale:

Thank you Jazz+Travel. I looked at the Italo site and you can book with them but they don't offer the time I need.
I will wait until the end of January, first part of February.

Fixed priced local commuter or regional trains that don't sell out or require advanced booking also run on that route.
