Train ticket Spiez, Switzerland to Milano Central

I'm booking September travel 8:05 Spiez to 10:35 Milano Central through Trenitalia and it says that I need to pick up ticket at the station. All other tickets I have bought for Italy through Trenitalia I print out a ticket when I make the purchase.

What does anyone know about this?

Because you are starting in Switzerland, book your ticket on thr Swiss Rail site Booking ASAP (up to 90 days) can get you a discount fare.

Is that the DB BAHN or is that the German site?

DB is the German site and won't sell this ticket. SBB.ch is the Swiss site and is the better choice, since that's your country of departure.

It is considered an international ticket when going between two countries. I think you can pick up the ticket in Switzerland. bahn is the German site. At bahn.de you can see all the schedules of European trains but only buy tickets for train beginning or ending in Germany.

WHen I try the rail europe site I don't get anything - no info at this time(with Swiss Pass Saver). When I try the Swiss site there isn't anyplace to enter the pass and only be charged for the Italian section.

Since I have booked the Milano Centrale to Monterosso part of the journey, I don't know if I dare travel the Interlaken Ost via Spiez to Milano part without a ticket. But maybe that's what is easiest.

Stay away from RailEurope which is just a ticket reseller that doesn't even show you the complete listing of available trains. They are worthless.

Yes, of course there is a place to enter your Swiss Saver Pass informaton. After you click the "buy" button to purchase your specific train journey the next screen says:

"Reduction for
(only reductions the passenger is already entitled to) "

choose one of the entries from the dropdown:
GA 1.cl, 1 year /GA subscription
GA 2.cl, 1 year /GA subscription

depending on if you are traveling 1st class (GA 1.cl) or 2nd class (GA 2.cl)
