Whan a pain! We have frequently traveled by train in Europe, but never with these problems. My wife and I needed to book our trains and seat reservations in Italy well in advance of dates/times/routes that would be popular just prior to Easter (and for other reasons). Rail Europe indicated that whole blocks of trains we needed were not available, yet Trenitalia showed those same trains to be available. However, neither one of us could purchase those tickets through Trenitalia because we could not get past the account establishment procedure. Kept getting messages that said our password had been sent, but it never came. All of this frustration was eventually relieved by just calling Rail Europe and paying some extra bucks to order by phone what was incorrectly shown by their website as not available.
