I’ll be taking a train from Florence to Roma Tiburtina station and then a train to S. Pietro. There is only 14 minutes from getting off to getting on. Any advice on how to find my way quickly?
First, ask in Florence if they know the platform for the S. Pietro. Most likely it is a Regtionale train so if you miss it you can grab the next one since you do not have reserved seats on a regionale train. Know the train number for S Pietro. Be near the door try to be some of the first off the train. Head to the top of the platform and find your train number on the overhead departure board and that will give you the platform number. Should make it easy.
Tiburtina is a through station and transfers are pretty easy. Escalator up to the central cross over bridge. Check the board for the new train's platform and walk to the correct escalator down to the new platform. 14 minutes is more than enough time.
The board will probably show the train's final destination, either Bracciano or Cesano di Roma. 3 direct trains every hour.
If you share the exact trains (number of train and time of arrival and departure at Tiburtina) we can tell you the scheduled track.
10 min is more than adequate to make the transfer.
Going to Rome

BTW, Freccia 9505 only stops at Tiburtina for 3 minutes, so be ready to exit the train as it arrives.
Thanks for that tip!
9505 arrives at track 15
23254 departs from track 2
23267 arrives at track 3
8526 departs from track 6
These are scheduled tracks, but like for airplanes sometimes there are gate changes, for trains also there might be track changes. So keep an eye on the displays before boarding the wrong trains
