Train strike November 13?

The website https://scioperi.mit.gov.it/mit2/public/scioperi states that there will be a strike on November 13 for maintenance workers nationwide, will this have any effect on train operations?

I haven't seen any other news on this and after contacting trenitalia, they said they didn't know.

The 8 November strike is #14, 15 and 16 on that official list.

EDIT- This was in response to the question as originally phrased which said that the 8 November strikes weren't on the list but were on other internet sources

In Italy the transportation unions have to file a written strike notice at least 10 days in advance of the strike date. This one was just filed two days ago which is likely why the Trenitalia employee said this is news to them.
There have been a number of people posting on this board in the last few weeks that—when they phoned Trenitalia or Trenord —they were misinformed and told that there were no pending strikes, when, in fact, there were.

The November 13 nationwide strike is by “Maintenance and Infrastructure” railway personnel. So, it’s difficult to know in advance what impact it will have on train travel that day.

I will be traveling from Tropea to Cosenza on the 13th. Does a strike mean no trains, delayed trains or curtailed service? Anyone know from past experience. Thanks.

November 13 is a Wednesday when— even if the strike impacts Tropea to Cosenza trains — there will be 2 guaranteed trains departing Tropea at 6:01am and 7:27am. Also a guaranteed train at 18:27. The buses should run on schedule as usual.

Only the guaranteed trains on the list work? Or do you think all / most of the 6-9 am trains do?

The rule for guaranteed Regionale trains of Trenitalia ( “RE”trains). applies to trains departing Mondays through Saturdays between 6am and 9am AND arriving at the destination within one hour of the beginning of a strike. So, a train departing at 7:30am and arriving at a station before 10am should make it there. A train departing at 7:30am and not arriving at its destination until 10:30am may stop wherever it happens to be located at 10am.
The same rule applies from 18:00 to 21:00 (6pm-9pm). Monday--Saturday.

This is the agreement between the Italian government and the rail unions so commuters can get to and from work.
For high-speed trains, Trenitalia has a published list of guaranteed trains on its website that will run even during strikes. Italo publishes its changing lists of guaranteed trains several days prior to a strike. Italo does not have a permanent list of guaranteed trains- the list fluctuates from strike to strike.

Thanks for the reply. I have a ticket departing at 8:40 am and lasting only an hour so that means I can make it to my destination in case of strike. However, on the website https://www.trenitalia.com/en/purchase/info_contacts/in_case_of_strike.html bottom of the page there's a link to a pdf that lists the guaranteed trains in case of strike. Mine is not there. Does this list override the rule of 6-9 am? Or is this list something different?

Cheers!

Is your train an RE train or a high-speed train like an Intercity ( IC train) or Frecciarosa or Frecciargento train etc?

The last guaranteed morning train from Civitavecchia to Rome is listed and departs at 8:01am.

Here’s what Trenitalia states “ In case of Strike”:

“If trains that are travelling when the strike begins are not cancelled at their departure station— providing those stations can be reached within one hour from the strike’s beginning— after this one hour, trains may stop and terminate before the train’s final destination.”

You may want to contact Trenitalia ahead of November 13 to confirm your train will run as scheduled.
