I can see a train strike in 9th October 2024 but am trying to understand if it is just maintenance workers or the whole system.

We are planning on taking the train from Rome to Florence on October 9th, will we be impacted?

It’s a 24- hour strike of railway maintenance workers throughout Italy. No one knows exactly how it will impact train travel that day.
To be certain you are not affected, take a bus. Schedules listed at www.Busbud.com or take a guaranteed Trenitalia regional train between 6am and 9am or between 6pm and 9pm.
