Hello
I'm travelling from Pisa central by regional trains to monticati terme Sunday 13th October and wonder should I cancel travel till Monday if there is a strike .
Is there any buses running
Slightly confused as some say train strike
Thank you
We’re also planning on travelling from Bergamo to Florence 13/Oct/24 - trying to establish if any trains will be operating
The nationwide train strike is targeting the trains of Trenitalia and Italo. The strike starts at 9 pm October 12 and runs until 20:59 on October 13.
Itabus has buses traveling throughout Italy that are not be affected by strikes. Schedules and fares can be viewed at www.Itabus.it/en
The other workaround is to avoid train travel during the strike and either complete train travel by the afternoon of October 12 or wait until Monday, October 14.
Because the strike falls on a Sunday, there will be no Regionale trains of Trenitalia that are guaranteed to run. Trenitalia lists on its website the handful of long-distance trains that are guaranteed to run in the event of a strike. Only high-speed and long distance trains on the guaranteed list can be relied on to run as scheduled on October 13.
Italo should be posting information about its trains on the Italotreno website.
