We are traveling from Florence to Venice via train. Our train makes a stop in Padua (Padova). We would like to get off in Padua for a visit before continuing on to Venice. Does the train station in Padua (Padova) have storage lockers for luggage (size: 2 medium suitcases and two carry on size bags)? Thanks.

You may have to Goggle that. However, recognized that you will need two separate sets of train tickets. You cannot just get on and off. Even if using a Regionale train tickets, the travel time is limited to four hours. And if just two people that seems like a lot of luggage to handle.

Padova is half an hour from Venice on very frequent and cheap (EUR 4,75 single trip) Regionale Veloce trains. You can easily make it a part-day trip from Venice.

We did this exact thing a few years ago. One tip - Be sure to buy both sets of tickets at the same time (Florence-> Padova; Padova-> Venice). Do NOT wait until you are leaving Padova to buy the second leg tickets. The train station in the late afternoon gets VERY crowded, with long lines at the ticket windows AND at all the ticket machines.

Thanks, I already have the ticket from Florence to Venice. We're just going to get off early at Padua and I plan on buying the new ticket online before we travel.
