I will be arriving on late train into Vertimiglia. Can anyone tell me if there is a decent hotel close to the train station and what is the best way to get from the station to the hotel? Thank you!

I've stayed at the Hotel Calypso in Ventimiglia several times. It is about a 5-min walk from the train station, or you could catch a cab. There are three other hotels, two on the other side of the river. They are nicer, but farther from the train station.

First Timer, Could you provide a few more details about your trip? Where are you coming from and going to, and what time will you be arriving in Ventimiglia?

Swan, thank you for the suggestion. Ken, we will be arriving at 11:45 PM, passing through on our way to Cinque Terre.

First Timer, That's a bit late to be checking into a Hotel. Is there any possibility of using an earlier train? By the time you reach the Hotel, it will be after midnight and the doors may be locked. Which town will you be in prior to the Cinque Terre? It might be better to stop there and continue to the C.T. the next morning. Which of the five C.T. villages will you be staying in, and when in this trip taking place? Cheers!
