Train Schedule question (Florence to Venice)

I need to travel from Florence to the Santa Lucia train station in Venice. The Trenitalia website shows the following ES train as available:

DEPART:
11:27
FI.SMN

ARRIVE:
14:18
VE S.L.
MESTRE

So, here's my question. The Venice arrival shows BOTH the Santa Lucia station and "MESTRE" in red. Does this mean that the train passes through the Mestre Station, or ??? I had read somewhere that you have to change trains in Mestre to get to Santa Lucia, but the train schedule doesn't really show that. HELP!

This is important, because I am meeting someone at the Santa Lucia station and I want to make sure that is where I end up!!

Thanks much,

I just went to the Trenitalia site and what I found doesn't precisely match what you found. EuroStar Italia #9468 is shown departing Firenze SMN at 11:27 and arriving at Mestre at 14:06 and at Santa Lucia at 14:18. FYI, not all trains go to Santa Lucia, but those that do all stop first at Mestre.

I must be using the Trenitalia site incorrectly; in any case, are you saying that there is no need to change trains and that the ES train will end up at Santa Lucia?

Thanks

Jayne, that ES train stops in Mestre but it then goes on to Santa Lucia so you will be fine.

By the way, even if it didn't go all the way to Santa Lucia, you can catch a train for free that will get you there from Mestre.
