Train question Monterosso to Milano Centrale

We are spending a few days in the Cinque Terre after our RS Best of Southern Italy tour and need to leave Monterosso and get to Amsterdam on May 8. Looking at the train and flight schedules leads me to believe we need to take the train from Monterosso to Milan, taxi from the train station to Milan Linate Airport (LIN), and then fly from Milan to Amsterdam.

The earliest train seems to leave Monterosso at 11:48am and arrives Milano Centrale at 3:40pm; this option has 3 changes. The next option leaves Monterosso at 12:55pm and arrives Milano Centrale at 4pm and it says "InterCity 670" - I'm guessing this is a local train with no changes?

There are flights leaving LIN at 5:20pm, 6:50pm and 7:50pm. Seems like both of the train options above would work. Is there any difference in terms of reliability or comfort or anything else I should be considering? I'm inclined to forgo the changes (the total travel time is about 45 min less if we do that) but want to make sure I'm not missing something.

Thanks!

Are you searching on the Trenitalia site?
I see an IC train ( direct no changes) that departs Monterosso at 10:33 arrives Milano Centrale at 2 pm

IC trains are similar to fast trains, reserved seats

Use the official train site
https://www.trenitalia.com/content/tcom/en.html

You might also check flights from Pisa or Florence to AMS, you shouldn't have to travel all the way to Milan.

There is also a direct IC train at 6:54 that will get you there by 10:05.
