Train or plane? Cinque Terre to The Netherlands

Hello, I'm trying to figure out the best way to get from Cinque Terre (Monterosso probably) to a smaller town in the Netherlands (Tilburg). I saw other posts about the Trenitalia website, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to use this for international train rides. Also, another option is to fly to the Eindhoven airport in the Netherlands. what is the nearest airport to Cinque Terrre? Thanks!

Lisa, If you want to travel by air, the easiest option would likely be a train to Pisa Airport and then a flight to Amsterdam using Transavia or one of the other budget airlines. From Schipol Airport, you can travel by train to Tilburg. The trip will be ~1.5 hours, with one change. Travel by train from Monterosso to Tilburg would not be advisable, as it would take at least 15 hours. For researching rail trips in other parts of Europe (including Italy), the bahn.de website is the best one to use. Happy travels!

Ryanair flies to Eindhoven from both Pisa (PSA) and Genoa (GOA) Keep in mind the normal Ryanair caveats apply. Be careful for all the extra charges.

Thank you both so much for your help. Looks like flying from Pisa to Eindhoven is the fastest and most inexpensive route for us, considering we are heading to Amsterdam after the event in Tilburg. I am not familiar with Ryanair, but will have to do some research.
