What is the fastest/easiest way to get from Genoa airport at 5pm and arrive in monterossa to enjoy the evening and check into hotel. Thank you

There is an airport bus (»Volabus«) which terminates in front of the Brignole station. From there you have regular trains to Monterosso. Consult the railway website (give »Genova Brignole« as your departure station).
You have the choice between an Intercity or a Regionale train. Take the first one. The prices don't differ much nor the travelling time. If you get a non-reserved ticket, make sure to stamp (validate) it at one of the machines in the station hall or at the platform.
