I have part of a day to spend in Cefalu before the start of the RS tour in Palermo. Since I have to be at the hotel in Palermo to meet the group by late afternoon, I was wondering which is faster/more reliable - taking a train or bus from Cefalu back to Palermo? I will be traveling around 2:00pm. Thank you in advance for your input.

The train from Cefalu to Palermo takes 55 minutes, there are afternoon trains at 14:02 or 15:07, plus some leaving later.
I did not see bus service on Rome2Rio.com, but even if there were, I would take the train.

We took the train and had no problems.
