I see a train itinerary that has a Naples regional #5872 train 8:12 to 8:53 thru Caserta then the Frecciargento #8303 9:14 to 12:11. Is it possible for 6 people to grab luggage, find connecting train within 15-18 minutes as there is only a 21 minute window for connecting train before it departs station?
The Caserta train station is small. It shouldn’t be a problem. You know the train stop previous to Caserta is Maddaloni Inferiore, so get all of your luggage & people ready at the door, ready for when it opens at Caserta.
I went from Polignano al Mare to Naples in November 2024 with FlixBus. It went through Bari. The bus from Naples to Bari leaves at 930 and arrives at 1220. It was a great trip. I usually get what they call the panorama seats, the first row. I get the door side, aisle and love it. Comfortable, and would avoid train transfer hassle, just a thought.
Absolutely.
That’s plenty of time for a small station such as Caserta.
Hi All, I'm planning a trip Napoli to Bari for the start of my holidays in July. When I'm searching for train times for the 3rd July I'm not getting many options, only 2 in fact and neither will work for me.
If I search for a month earlier in June, I get more train times and prices.
Will there be additional trains added to the timetable at some point.
Thanks in advance for any advice. Dave

You grab your luggage before the train arrives at the station, as you will only have a couple of minutes to get of the train. Train travel is not like air travel. You do not stay seated till the vehicle has stopped.
So in those 21 minutes you will need to a) find that other platform and b) go there. So maybe 3 minutes in total for that.
You will probably wish the transfer time is shorter. A good railway does not waste the public's time like this.
But the 21 minutes does give you some buffer in case there is a delay.

Yes, of course. The summer timetable is not completely on line yet. Wait a bit. There is no need to buy train tickets half a year in advance.
