We will be traveling from Venice to Monterosso via train. I know there are several options, but my main goal is to book the more scenic route. Any recommendations?

Not really. There are two main routings from Venice to Monterosso. One routing is via Florence/Pisa/La Spezia and the other is Milan/Genoa/Monterosso. 2-3 train changes on either route. About 6.0hrs travel time. The Florence routing is slightly faster. Scenery is about the same on either routing.

Heather, I'd suggest choosing the shortest trip with the fewest changes. As the previous reply mentioned, there will be reasonably good scenery on both routes.
