We fly into Milan and we are thinking to go to Venice but then? I already went to North Italy in 2004. Should we take a train to the south area but where? Tell me about your experience. We like the locals, nature and beaches.

Oh, bless your heart, Monique, you desperately need a good guide book. Pick up a copy of both the RS Italy book and the Rough Guide to Italy and start there. Happy travels.

I agree. You'll need to grab a guide book to decide what it is that interests you. What I find interesting you may find completely boring which is why it's so important for you to do some research. Donna
