Advice on trains for travel from Trento to Lucerne. We will be traveling to Trento from our fist location which is about 2 hours away. Once we arrive in Trento we need a train to Lucerne, hopefully a late morning train. Is there just one train line to choose from? Would like least amount of stops if possible. Any chance anyone knows if there is a direct line to Lucerne from Trento?
Thanks so much
According to DBahn website there is a train at 12:04pm that has 3 changes and takes 6:37. No direct trains.

Any chance you could tell us where this other place is? Do you need to go via Trento? There may be another route direct from there.
As the others say, there are multiple routes. Between Trento and Luzern it is all mountains (Alps). The train routes follow valleys and are not very direct. You either go north into Austria, and then across. Or south onto the Italian plains, then across to Milan (that bit is fast) and up to Luzern. Neither way fast.
You can look up train times for yourself on the DB website: https://www.bahn.com/en/view/index.shtml
The fastest option is departing at 12:04, and taking 6h37 and requires 4 trains (3 changes).
