Train from Rome to Tuscany-best place to pick up a car on a Friday?

We will be traveling to Tuscany by train. We are staying in Montepulciano . Where do we take the train to and what town is the best to pick up a car in on a Friday afternoon? Thanks

I would think Montepulciano would have one or more car rental companies but if not I know Siena and Firenze do. We often have used Firenze.

I agree with Henry. Chiusi is a great gateway into either Tuscany or Umbria by car.
