Train from Rome to Lucca

I am travelling to Lucca from Rome and wish to travel a coastline route. Should I take train to Pisa and then bus or other transportation from there or can I train right to Lucca. I am not interested in stopping in Pisa.

Also, I will travel from Lucca to Florence - do you recommend a bus or a train?
Thank you

Yes, just go along the coast to Pisa, then get a train to Lucca. Lucca to Florence has frequent trains.
