Train from Rome to Chiusi-Chianciano

Hi! We are traveling to Italy over the holidays so I am trying to plan very carefully to avoid surprises! We will land in Rome December 16 then are staying at an agriturismo from the 16th-21st of December, when we will leave and go directly to the airport hotel since our flight is very early on the 27th.

When I go on Trenitalia they show only one train available from Rome on the 21st and it arrives at 7:45 pm. This is way too late, as we need to pick up a rental car and drive to our agriturismo, which I would very much like to do in daylight.

Any ideas? Am I doing something wrong? I used Rome termini and Chiusi as the names.

Thank so much,

Joan

I think the winter schedule hasn't been loaded yet. You might try checking the schedule for Wednesday, December 7, instead. I see multiple trains for that date on the Deutsche Bahn website.

Regional train schedules are the last to be loaded and the current version runs through Dec. 10. Fiumicino Aeroporto station will also be recognized on schedules; most service is by shuttle train from Roma Termini but there are one or two trains per day that run direct from the north to the airport.

Your dates above seem off. You're probably not staying at an airport hotel for 6 nights.
