I will be traveling from rome rome to orvieto via train in june. should I depart from termini or tiburtina station.I'll be staying in the pantheon neighbor. thanks for the advice

Termini is closer to the Pantheon area than Tiburtina, so depart from there. We went to Orvieto from Rome a few years ago, we just bought our tickets the day before.

Bus 62 goes from the Pantheon neighborhood to the Tiburtina train station.

Some Regional train departures stop at both stations, while others start from only one of them, e.g., departing from Termini at 10:30 or from Tiburtina at 11:10 or 12:40 with direct service to Orvieto. If you search for a schedule from ROME or Rome (all stations), then you'll see both in the search results.
