We are arriving into Rome at 7:45 am , and want to take a train to the Termini station to go to Naples.How long it takes to get to Termini ?

30 minute ride, twice an hour. Plan on a hour in case you just miss the train

I would suggest waiting to purchase your train tickets until you are at the airport. If your flight is late or it takes a long time to receive your bags at least you won't have to worry about missing your train. There is hardly ever a line at the airport train station and there are frequent trains to Naples. Book all your tickets at once and pay cash or credit card.

Also remember, as long as you are traveling 2nd class, if you purchase your ticket early and miss the train, your ticket is still good for the next train heading out to Naples. (I do not know about 1st class as I have never traveled 1st class)
