Train from Rome Cruise Terminal to Train Station

Can anyone tell me how long it should take to get from the cruise terminal to the train station and also, the best means of doing so?
Thanks!

I assume you mean the train station in Civitavecchia. There is port shuttle that will take you to the port main entrance from your ship. The train station is about a mile, 15 min walk to the train station. You should see it. It is easy walk along the beach. Follow the crowd. Lots of people will be doing. We have done it at least five times.

There will be taxis at the entrance but they do not want the short run to the train station. They are looking for the ride to Rome. There is a city bus that makes a loop between the two. Basically it is commuter run to Rome from Civit... There are two to four trains an hour to Termini in Rome. The time range is 45 mins to an hour 15 depending on how many stops the train makes. Personally I would buy a Regionale train ticket at any other train station in Italy to save fighting the crowd at the Civitavecchia train station. It will be mobbed especially if more than one cruise ship is in port. Validate your ticket (time stamp) and get on the first R train to Rome. There is no reserve seat so you stand till a seat is available -- it will be the slowest but far faster than buying a ticket in Civit...

Ticket price will be between 5 and 10 euro -- again depending on train. The Regionale train is around 5.

During the week, the train leaves Civitavecchia just about one per half hour. Less on weekends.

You catch a city bus from the cruise ship to the train station--1 to 2 miles away.

It's a 47 minute ride to Rome Termini.

...." the train station"...

Be helpful if you identified which 'train station' you have in mind

Which train station are you referring to in your original post? Are you asking about getting to the Civitavecchia station, or Rome Termini?

You can take a fast train or an IC from Civitavecchia to La Spezia then a regional to whatever town in CT

Don’t need to go in to Rome
Use the Trenitalia site linked above

It is not that simple. In Italy all trains, except Regionale require a seat reservation. SO --- when you buy a ticket you are going to have to pick a time. Most of the trains to Spezia are Regionale taking about 5 hrs, some 4.5. The fast trains closer to 3 hrs or a little less. You can buy discount tickets for the faster trains but they are non-refundable and non-change. The base ticket can be changed. But you are going to have to decide which of the faster trains you will try to catch. I vote for the 12.46 as it will give you plenty of time to get off the ship and get to the station. Don't go too early since there are no waiting room facilities at Civit...

If you are going to the Cinque Terre you need a ticket to there, not just to La Spezia. Train travel you can book between any two stations, so if for example you are staying in Monterosso you book your ticket Civitavecchia to Monterosso.
