Is there a direct train from the Rome Airport to Salerno? I thought I read on this site that there is one, but I'm having a hard time finding it.
Thanks so much for any information! :)
Nope. You have to go to Termini or Tiburtina to get to Salerno. There are 2 trains a day from the airport to Venice, with stops in Rome, Florence, Bologna, and Padua.
Do use the search box here to make sure you really want to go to Salerno. It's a less-common, special-interest variation for trips to that area. And you'll get a lot of posts of car rental and use on the Amalfi Coast.
Leonardo Exress from Rome Airport to Rome Termini, then you can get the high speed train from Rome to Salerno. There are options as well: Italo treno, Trenitalia Frecce, Leonetti bus (leaves from the Tiburtino station, not the Termini), I also believe there is a night bus. If you check the Rome2Rio.com website, it can give you estimated pricing and length of travel.
