Will be staying in Rapallo and then going to Venice end of August. Looking for Easiest way to get there via train. Also, should we book train tickets before?

Since it’s already 8/14 I’d buy now, don’t think they’ll be much in the way of discounts left

Just checked the schedule for Wed, 31st. Some discount tickets are available. But discount tickets come with heavy restriction and are basically no change. Train is your best bet and if you book today or tomorrow you might catch a discounted ticket. Good luck ----

Looks like on the Train site quickest is only showing thru Pisa and back thru florence. Not giving the milan option. We are going september 1

Who's "Train site" ??? Do you want round trip or one way?
PS Checked the Sept 1 schedule. Best route and time -- 13:28-19.12 -- one change in Milano Centrale. Base ticket 25e.
