Is it less expensive to purchase train tickets from Pisa to Monterosso in advance? I am going April 4-9

If you're going to buy the cheap regional train tickets then you should just wait to buy them in Italy. There is no discount for buying them online. If you want a faster train you can buy online ahead of time but just be aware that there are very strict rules for changing trains. With the super economy tickets if you miss your train your ticket is worthless. There are no changes or refunds for those tickets. The economy tickets allow a change but you have to do it within a certain time frame. Basically, unless you're absolutely certain of travel times I would wait and buy them in Italy. Donna
