Train from Naples to Roma on to FCO time required and schedules

We have an international flight out of Rome FCO back to US on Jan 1 2011 at 1040 in the morning. I am trying to figure out if there are trains that morning from Naples and by when we would have to leave Naples to make our flight. I believe that
day is a Saturday. I am having a hard time getting the Trenitalia web site to show me schedules that far in advance.

You won't get a schedule that far in advance as they usually change the schedule towards the end of the year.

Normally there are several trains an hour but you're talking about a holiday so I wouldn't plan on it. If I were you I would get to Rome the night before and not chance missing my flight. There is a real possibility that happening if you go back the same morning. All it will take is one delay.

The fastest train take about an hour and a half. The slower regional trains take from just over to- to three hours depending on the train. From the where this train drops you at termini, you have to walk about 10 minutes to catch the leonardo express which leaves at 9 and 39 after the hour. This is a half hour trip.

I lived in Italy for 2 years-totally agree with DOnna, Go the night before minimum.

You WILL have to spend your last night in Rome to catch your flight the next day. It is really not feasible nor recommended to try to get a train early enough to get you to the airport 3 hours before departure.
