What is the easiest way to go by train from Monteresso, Cinque Terre to Trieste?
Also does anyone know how many days to allow to see all the historic points about WWII?

You can check all the details on train trips in Italy, by using the Trenitalia website. The trip from Monterosso to Trieste is going to be a longer trip of at least 7.5 hours with 2 or 3 changes (depending on which train you choose). One of the shortest trips will be a departure at 11:07, arriving at 18:39 (time 7H:32M, 2 changes).
If you haven't travelled by train in Italy before, there are some potentially expensive "caveats" to be aware of, so you'll have to do some research on those.
It's impossible to provide any suggestions about "the historic points about WWII" without having some idea on what you're interested in. There are WW-II sites spread out across Italy and all of Europe, so it would help to know what you're interested in seeing.
