I am looking on the Trenitalia web site and if I look at a date for June or July they offer fast trains with first class and reservations. But if I look on our actual date September 13 the times and the trains are all different and first class is not an option anymore. I thought people said there was not much difference in schedules if you looked now vs. your actual trip dates. We want to leave La Spezia around 10 or 11 AM. It gives those as options in July but in Sep. our only option is not to leave till around 12:30. Am I doing something wrong?

Are you picking the same hour of departure from the drop down menu?
I see that Trenitalia blocked bookings on many Frecciabianca trains on September 13 using the barred cart icon, but the trains are displayed on the site and of course they will run. I can see 4 travel solutions before the one at 12:31. After June 11 they'll open bookings again, maybe September 13 is the the first day of school in Liguria!

Looking at the schedule for June 8, 1st class is only available on Intercity and Freccia trains between La Spezia and Pisa. Pisa to Florence are all Regionali and don't have 1st class. Train times haven't changed much, but none of the Intercity or Freccia trains on Sept 13 are available for purchase yet.
