Train from Florence to Venice talk me off the ledge

Our RS Heart of Italy tour ends in Florence then we are taking the train to Venice to spend a few days. Should we buy our train tickets now or wait until we get to Florence? Do the trains sell out.? We will be traveling mid September and I envision us sitting on our suitcases in the train station because we didn't buy or tickets in advance.

I recall replying to this question in a similar Thread a couple of days ago. You have some answers in your other two Threads on this topic. Is there a reason you've asked the same question in three different Threads?
