Train from Florence to Lucca. Does train stop at Montecatini Terme?

My husband and I will be based in Florence and want to take a day trip from Florence to Lucca. Plan to go there and ride backs around walled city. Any other suggestions of things to do or eat in Lucca. On way back we would like to stop at Montecatini Terme and enjoy the waters possibly swim. Is this possible. What train stop do we get off at and how far is train station from where we would want to me? Walkable? Any suggestions on what to see here before coming back to Florence?

Yes, the trains on this route stop at two stations in Montecatini and you would buy your train ticket just to that town. You can view station locations and multiple spas on Google maps. I have not looked into the differences between bathing options.
