Train from Civitavecchia Port to Rome

We are arriving Civitavecchia port but can't see how to travel from the port to the train station two miles away. Are there taxis that meet the cruise ships or a closer train station in civitavecchia?

The train station is only four or five blocks from the port entrance. There will be a shuttle from your ship to the port entrance and from there a ten minute walk straight down the beach to the station you can not miss the station. However, it will be zoo getting a ticket So try to buy a regional train ticket (open ticket) to and from Rome at any train station ticket office anywhere else in Italy prior to getting there. That way, you walk pass the mob trying to buy tickets, validate your ticket on the yellow box, track side on the back of the station, and board the first regional train to Rome. About three an hour. Regional trains have no reserved seats so grab any seat and if none available, you stand. The train dead ends at Termini in Rome. Same for the return.
