Train from Airport in Rome to Naples

We are arriving in Rome early Friday morning and will be going to Naples that day. We have purchased EuroRail passes, but I am wondering if we need to reserve trains from the Airport to Rome and then from Rome to Naples or if there will be enough trains available that we can just hop on once we arrive? Thank you for any tips!

Leonardo Express trains to Rome don't take reservations and only accept 1st-class rail passes (just hop on once that pass is activated). The trains that you want from Rome to Naples require reservations, €10 per person, but only sometime before boarding the train. At the airport station, you should be able to get your pass activated and buy a seat reservation for the leg to Naples. (And then if you take the local Circumvesuviana line between Naples and Sorrento, that's a separate ticket, not covered by Eurail passes.)

If you travel from Rome to Naples on a Frecciarossa train (high speed) you will need to reserve the seat and pay a supplement of 10euro. If you travel on the much slower regional trains (which are also available on that segment), then no need to reserve anything.

The train from the airport to Rome Tiburtina or Rome Termini (Rome main station) is a regional train (1st class only, if you take the Leonardo Express to Termini).

I hope you didn't buy the Eurail pass just for that and that you have many many more trips in your plan. In Italy the Eurail pass pays only if you take a tons of train trips, otherwise it's cheaper to simply pay for the individual tickets.
