Train/bus travel in Tusany

We are staying in Impruneta, just south of Florence from last week of April to end of second week of May.
Is there good train/bus service to Florence in particular and the surrounding towns like Siena,Cortona and Pienza?
Do you need Rail Europe passes for local train travel?

Keith, as a new poster I will tell you this.
If you want to travel by train from A to B, you buy a ticket from A to B, same as you would for a bus, airplane, ferry or any other method of public transport.
Passes are things sold to tourists who think buying a ticket at a "foreign" station or website will be too complicated. In Italy, where fares are cheap, passes will cost you more, unless you travel many hundreds of Km every day. Most Italians and other travellers in Europe have never used a pass and have never heard of Rail Europe.
