We are wondering what ways people have gone from Rome to Siena (not by car) and how they worked?
We are four people with smallish suitcases and would like something not too hectic, if possible that is.

Took the bus and was quite happy with it. Big advantage, the bus station is in the middle of town so you do not have to figure out how to get there from the train station. It is a reasonably enjoyable ride.
