Heading to Italy for 3 weeks on Friday, so excited!! Trying to download the Trenitalia App but can not get past registering because the question -Country of Birth- my answer United States is not an option anywhere. We have already purchased all of our tickets with a travel agent and have printed hard copies but I'd like an app that I can punch the info in and it can tell me train and platform info prior to boarding announcement. I've seen a lot of posts where people given just a minutes to make it to platforms when announced. I saw Trenit and Trainline but not sure if those do what I want. Any help would be so appreciated, thanks!

Look for "Stato Unit d'America".
Then once you have registered you can enter all the tickets and manage them there. (Unless your agent gave you old fashioned tickets on CIT security paper...)

WengenK has your answer! Even the English version of the app has Italian for places. I learned this when unsuccessfully searching for the “Florence” station- Firenze is what you need! :-)
