How to find out the cost of tickets from como to interlaken will have a car and thinking of dropping off in como instead of driving to interlaken then going to Zurich airport from there.

Note that if you drive in Switzerland, you are required to have a "Vignette" on your rental car posted in a precise location on the car. It's possible that magnetic cameras on the highway can detect the vignette. Also, have you checked out the drop off charges for dropping off in a different country? The train works really well.

If you book well in advance (up to 120 days allowed) on the Trenitalia site, you can get a Smart fare of €19.00 for Como S. Giovanni to Arth-Goldau. The standard 2nd class fare is €53.70. The second class fare for Arth-Goldau to Interlaken Ost is 39.00 CHF. There is no discount for advance booking. Either buy tickets online on the Swiss Rail site or buy them when you get to Arth-Goldau.
