Hello
I will be traveling alone and staying in cortona for a 5 days. I am looking for areas to travel from Cortona to towns nearby by train. I will not have a car. This will be my third leg to a 6 week trip to Italy. I will stay 3 weeks in Orvieto plan to travel around umbria by train to the towns nearby. I would like to do the same in Cortona. My plan is to do a couple wine tours and cooking classes. I would love any suggestions.

I have taken trains from Cortona to Florence and Arezzo. I’m hoping you will be there during the Arezzo antiques market! Also Venice but that’s not a day trip. The train station is below Cortona in Camucia.
You may have already looked into it, but I really enjoyed the two cooking classes near Cortona that I have had at Il Falconiere.

Not clear if you mean only day trips or places you might stay over. I traveled by train from Perugia to Cortona and from Cortona to Siena. Perugia could be a day trip from Cortona or from Orvieto. Siena would be far for a day trip.
