We are two women driving inland from Cefalu to Siracusa, and are looking for some recommendations on a stopover to break up our 4-5 hour drive. Any small or large towns inland that you absolutely would stop and see? Or even just a small place to have food at.
Our route will mostly be along the A19, which goes through Enna, and seems like an obvious choice. But my partner is worried about stopping with all our things in the larger city. We will be driving (most likely! we all know its whatever they give you) a hatchback, so we're planning on no trunk to hide our things away in. Would you be concerned about this? We could drop things off at a hotel to watch for some time, but then we want to make sure it's worth it!
