Tours to Italy

My husband, daughter and I are planning to visit Italy sometime next year. Our daughter is a young deaf woman who communicates with a combination of speech and sign. My husband and I will be interpreting for her as best we can. We are thinking of taking one of the Rick Steves’ tours, either the 3 city tour (Venice, Florence, and Rome) or the “My Way” tour and try to get tour guides in the different cities. I know this is outside the realm of most peoples’ Experience. Would appreciate any thoughts from people who have done those tours.

Not sure I know what your question is.

The guides RS uses speak English well. So in that regard the communication issue is no different than she would have in the US.

If you choose a group tour I suspect, based on the people I have met on the tours I have done, she would be willingly be allowed to be as close to the guide as possible to facilitate her being able to follow the narrative.
