We are traveling to Lake Como in late May. Can you purchase tours of the Villa Balbianello or Villa Carlotta ahead of time or do you really need to?

I didn't do Carlotta but i did Babianello. I didn't purchase ahead of time. We stopped a few towns and explored them before making to Villa Balbainello. And didn't know what time we would get to the Villa. The next departing tour when we arrived was full, so they added us to the one after that. It was about a 25 min wait but we just strolled around the villa outside grounds until it started.
