I have heard there is scaffolding around the Basilica of Santa Croce in Firenze, and that you can make reservations to tour the exterior artwork of the building. This artwork dates to the 14th century, and this is a once in a lifetime chance to view this art up close. Has anyone heard about this? The website, www.santacroceopera.it is only in Italian. I think they're saying reservations begin this month.
